Tokyo, Japan: Tokyo One Piece Tower + Gundam Front Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan: Tokyo One Piece Tower + Gundam Front Tokyo

I have always been a fan of animes. I remember when I was younger, I always rush home from school to catch the afternoon animes broadcasted in our local channels. I am lucky my boyfriend is a fan, too. So when we were planning our Japan trip, we had an agreement that we will visit Tokyo One Piece Tower (I am a big fan of One Piece!) and Gundam Front Tokyo (Kevin is obsessed with gundams lol).

Our first stop was the Tokyo One Piece Tower. It is located in Tokyo Tower itself; hence, the name. It is an indoor theme park based on the anime. If you like watching anime and you have not watched One Piece,  you are missing out a lot! Lol. Anyway, the concept of the theme park is that the place is an island in the New World called Tongari Island, which the Straw Hat Crew landed on, and they created games and attractions for their fans with the islanders.

The place has three floors worth of games and attractions. I wasn't able to try and play everything because of my sore feet (ugh!), nevertheless, I still enjoyed it.

If you are a big fan of One Piece like I am, then it's a must to visit this place! It's so much fun to see the whole crew and have a glimpse of the A Thousand Sunny!

After enjoying ourselves with the games offered in Tokyo One Piece Tower, we hurriedly travelled to Odaiba to reach Diver City Mall where the 1:1 scale RX-78-2 Gundam stands majestically.

Kevin's eyes were gleaming as he observe and appreciate the details of the enormous statue. Hehe.

Afterwards, we went inside the Diver City mall to visit Gundam Front Tokyo. It is a theme park where you can experience everything Gundam! There were lots of activities to do inside, your gundam heart will rejoice. I know this because Kevin enjoyed the experience massively. I was like seeing a kid in a toy store, which is the actual case. Haha!

By the way, as of March 2017, the gundam statue has been dismantled. While Gundam Front Tokyo has closed its doors last April 2017. However, don't be sad just yet because a new and bigger statue will be erected in the same location this coming fall of this year. :-)

To cap off the day fulfilling our anime desires, we went to Akihabara. Akihabara is an otaku paradiseYou can find literally everything related to anime and manga here.

And that's it! It was a long day, but our anime hearts are happy. <3
